Iced Matcha Latte: The Coffee Alternative You'll Love
Iced Matcha Latte
I made the switch from coffee to matcha a few months ago and don't see myself ever going back. While I still enjoy coffee once in a while, I’ve found that it makes my anxiety a lot worse and paralyzes my productivity with overwhelming energy.
Matcha, on the other hand, gives me calm and contained energy that allows me to focus without feeling high. With an earthy taste, it was hard for me to stomach matcha on its own which is why I came up with this insanely delicious and healthy recipe. My iced matcha latte is wonderfully refreshing and sweetened naturally to give you the energy you need to conquer your day.
basic Ingredients:
1/4C hot filtered water
1-2 tsp ceremonial grade matcha powder (I use Alfred Tea, Aiya or Matcha Ninja)
1 tsp organic honey (I use Nature Nate’s)
Dash of cinnamon
1 cup unsweetened milk alternative (more or less depending on your preference - I love oat milk or cashew milk)
Ice
OPTIONAL ADD-INS:
1 scoop collagen peptides *optional (I like Vital Proteins)
1 tsp MCT oil *optional (I like Nature's Way)
1 drop vanilla extract
1/2 Tbs coconut butter (for creaminess and coconut taste)
Directions:
Blend all ingredients except milk choice with hot water in your blender for 15 seconds
Pour mixture into cup with ice
Add almond milk to cup and stir
